Myrtle St

This existing early 20th century cottage in an inner city Melbourne bayside suburb was neglected and run down, but with good bones. The clients’ could see the potential in the home and purchased the property with a view to renovate and sell for a profit.

So any work undertaken had to add value and retain the four bedrooms, so as to appeal to a wide buyers’ market. The existing front five rooms were retained with some minor alterations which included a main bathroom and an ensuite and walk in dressing room to the master bedroom. The new modern addition included the main kitchen, family & dining areas + walk in butler’s pantry and laundry. A new timber deck and pergola extended the living area and took advantage of the northern aspect. Australian hardwood vertical timber cladding was used on the extension façade, with striking effect. The completed build resulted in significant value being added to the property and a large profit for the clients’.
